Ingathering: The Complete People Stories of Zenna Henderson has long been one of NESFA Press's most popular books. Though they're old-school and even somewhat naive, why are these (essentially YA) stories still so appealing to so many people? Could it be because they're actually (gasp!) appealingly optimistic? Or is it something else entirely?
